Tasting notes
The 2023 Gamay Noir opens with an herbaceous, reductive nose colored in with purple and red fruit aromas. The palate is slender and juicy, concluding with a fragrant yet innocuous finish.

All varietal, brought up with 60% whole clusters and aging in neutral barrels, the 2023 Gamay Noir sports a vivid ruby/garnet hue as well as a pretty nose of wild strawberries, huckleberries, sappy underbrush, and flowers. This juicy, peppery, medium to light-bodied, exceedingly elegant red has nicely integrated acidity and terrific overall balance. It will give many a village red Burgundy a run for its money!
The 2023 Gamay Noir is peppery and savory, opening with purple flowers, black olive, smoked meat, sweet lavender and bright berry fruit. Fruity and approachable but also spicy and lifted, the influence of the 60% whole clusters is slightly out in front here. Enjoy this with a decent chill.
