Good full ruby. Blueberry and blackberry aromas are lifted by spicecake and clove oil. Comes across as smoother than the 2009, but with a similarly aggressive quality to the briary blackberry and cassis flavors. The tough tannins come across as a bit dry. Plenty of stuffing here, but this powerful wine is going to require time in bottle to come into harmony.
