The 2020 The Albatross, made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, is firm and bold and features ripe and pure dark red fruit with a prominent oak essence and fine focus on dusty florals. This full-bodied wine presents plummy notes and a spiced black raspberry compote, showcasing a balanced profile with focus, power and precision. It ends with a fantastic, red-fruited finish. The wine aged for a year and a half in new French oak. 1,800 bottles were produced.

All Cabernet Sauvignon from the Obelisco Vineyard on Red Mountain, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon The Albatross sports a vivid purple hue to go with a perfumed, floral character in its black and blue fruits, candied flowers, and spicy oak. It's rich and concentrated, but it’s shockingly sweet and overtly sugary on the palate, which is too bad, as otherwise this would be a terrific wine.
