Tasting notes
The 2018 Micho is made from free-run juice, mostly Merlot blended with 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 21 months in 100% new French oak. It has an opaque ruby-purple color with exotic spices, milk chocolate and potpourri plus notes of tobacco and graphite. The palate is seamlessly fresh with pixelated tannins and ultra perfumed fruit, finishing incredibly long and minerally.

Opaque ruby. Ripe blackberry, cherry, pipe tobacco, exotic spices and woodsmoke on the powerfully scented nose. Fleshy and expansive in the mouth, offering spice-laced, concentrated black/blue fruit flavors and candied licorice and floral pastille elements that build in the glass. Picks up energy with air and finishes on a bitter cherry note, delivering solid thrust, well-integrated tannins and excellent persistence.
Mostly Merlot blended with 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Micho is another rocking wine that has a touch of Saint-Emilion-like minerality as well as tons of ripe blackcurrant and black cherry fruits, notes of chocolate, loamy earth, and leafy herbs, full-bodied richness, and a layered, ripe, incredibly sexy style.
