As good as Zinfandel gets. Extraordinary balance of ripeness, tannin, acidity and alcohol, which appears to be high from the label but doesn't show on the palate. Juicy red currant, black raspberry fruit, and complexity from cocoa, vanilla, black pepper and allspice accents. Seductive and immediately enjoyable. (LM)

Deep, saturated red. Zesty cherry and redcurrant aromas display admirable energy and clarity. Tangy, finely etched red berry flavors are medium in weight, with mint and camphor adding vivacity. Becomes sappier and sweeter with air, finishing with excellent lift and snap.
