Pale gold. Stony citrus zest and pear skin scents are complicated by honeysuckle, ginger and quinine. Firm, sharply focused citrus and orchard fruit flavors display admirable concentration and minerality, picking up a smoky nuance with air. Finishes with very good clarity and juicy cling. This is a two-thirds/one-third blend of the two varieties. And Peay told me that the marsanne was harvested at 19 degrees Brix!
