Tasting notes
Good ruby-red. Sappy black cherry, bitter chocolate, cola and a peppery lift on the complex nose.Dense, sweet and juicy, with lovely texture and depth to the red berry and spice flavors. A major mouthful of raspberry sweetness here. The wine's lush, seamless texture currently cover its firm, ripe tannins, but there's plenty of power on the back.

A new offering, the 2004 Pinot Noir Stone Corral possesses a dense ruby/purple color as well as brooding forest floor, deep, sweet black currant and cherry characteristics, medium to full body, moderate tannin, good acidity, beautiful purity, and substantial flavor authority. This gorgeous Pinot Noir comes close to replicating a French Cotes de Nuits. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Tel. (805) 489-0446
