Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2004-2008, Robert Parker, Aug 2002
The medium straw-colored 2001 Chardonnay Woolsey Road exhibits a distinctive nose of cloves, honeysuckle, and minerals, along with denser, bigger, more concentrated flavors than the Gold Ridge. It is medium to full-bodied, with vibrant acidity as well as a long, leesy, nutty finish. This is an impressive Chardonnay to drink during its first 3-4 years of life. (Release date 3/04) Tel. About the producer

Martinelli
Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
