2018 B Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Kenefick Ranch

Another beautiful wine that’s very much in the style of the 2018 vintage, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Kenefick Ranch comes from a site in Calistoga and, as with everything here, was brought up in French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Lots of redcurrants, red plums, new leather, toasted spice, camphor, and cedar emerge from this beauty. Medium to full-bodied, it has a slightly reserved, backward mouthfeel, nicely integrated acidity, and a clean, classy finish. As with many 2018s, it’s going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and evolve gracefully for two decades or more.
