Tasting notes
The 2021 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard sees 35% new French oak and undergoing partial malolactic fermentation. Pineapple and white peach scents mark the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is generous and soft, then turns a bit chalky and almost phenolic on the finish, but in a good way, adding a welcome touch of structure. 125 cases produced.

The 2021 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard showed beautifully, with a floral, subtle tropical slant in its honeyed citrus, white flowers, green almond, and chalky mineral aromas and flavors. This rich, medium to full-bodied, beautiful layered, seamless Chardonnay has integrated acidity, a great mdi-palate, and outstanding length.
The 2021 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard is gorgeous. Bright, perfumed and light on its feet, the 2021 is super-classy right out of the gate. Lemon confit, white pepper, pastry, mint and light tropical accents all grace this exquisite, nuanced Chardonnay. What a pleasure it is to taste. The 2021 spent 12 months in oak, 30% new, and then 6 months in tank.
