Light, shimmering gold. Powerful peach and pear nectar, honeydew melon, tangerine and smoky mineral aromas are complicated by suave floral and buttered toast nuances. Juicy and shapely on the palate, offering lush, mineral-laced orchard and pit fruit and toasted brioche flavors that become spicier with aeration. The mineral and floral qualities repeat emphatically on the persistent, seamless finish, which leaves a spicy ginger note behind. 30% new French oak.

The 2016 Chardonnay Evenstad Reserve opens with a great streak of petrichor over fresh yellow apple and Bosc pear notes with accents of hay, crème fraîche and toast. Medium to full-bodied and creamy textured in the mouth, it gives up toasty flavors with a great core of concentrated, ripe fruit and juicy, mouthwatering acidity, finishing long and minerally.
