Tasting notes
(14.5% alcohol): Serious deep, bright ruby. Aromas of cassis, blackberry jam, licorice, mocha, espresso and spices. A real high-wire act of sweet, primary black and blue fruits and strong acidity. Boasts excellent creamy depth and incipient sweetness, not to mention firm, suave tannins, but this very young wine also needs time to unwind in bottle and absorb its oaky torrefaction. Very long on the aftertaste, with the structure to age.

The wine shows great depth of color in the glass. With no effort, black and blue fruits, espresso bean, black cherry and jammy appear. The wine is concentrated, round and sweet, ending with some dryness in the fruit filled finish. 92 Points
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Hayne Vineyard shows the pedigree of this great St. Helena site in its lush, layered fruit and exceptional balance. Dark red berries, menthol, licorice, iron and smoke all flesh out in a powerful, intense wine built for the cellar. The 2010 Hayne is full-bodied and sensual to the core. Sweet floral, spice and mint notes are layered into the inviting finish.
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Hayne Vineyard comes from a site that is better known for its Petite Sirah and Zinfandel made famous by Turley Cellars. This has always been a site that produces ripe wines, and you see that with this 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon. Offering blackberry and jammy fruit flavors, it is a full-bodied, in-your-face, yet elegant and pure Cabernet that delivers lots of blue and black fruits in an All-American / All-Napa, first team sort of way. This beauty should drink well for two decades or more. Tel. (707) 967-9600
