Tasting notes
These wines are made by Thomas Rivers Brown, with the viticulture handled by Josh Clark. These are all tiny production releases with quantities under 300 cases for each. Starting with the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Lakeview, this deep purple-hued beauty is all varietal and was brought up mostly in new French oak. A medium to full-bodied, elegant wine, it has a terrific sense of minerality in its blue fruits, spring flowers, lead pencil, and graphite-like aromas and flavors. A darkly fruited, pretty Cabernet that has plenty of classic herbal notes as well as good acidity and underlying structure, it's going to be well worth enjoying over the following 15-20 years.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Lakeview Vineyard is fabulous. Silky and elegant, the Lakeview captures a striking contrast of brightness, structure and depth. Here, the flavors are distinctly red-fruited leaning. In 2018, the Lakeview has tremendous freshness, something that has not often been the case with these wines. Blood orange, mocha, chocolate, spice and cedar linger effortlessly. The 2018 is a total stunner.
