2003 Sequillo Cellars Estate Red

(a blend of 63% syrah, 30% mourvedre and 7% grenache) Good medium red. Coolish aromasof dark berries and licorice. Juicy and vinous, with flavors of crushed strawberry, smoke and tobacco enlivened by sound acids. In a rather elegant, laid-back style, and not yet expansive in the middle palate. Hints at bitter cherry, black pepper and Chinese mustard on the finish.
