Tasting notes
A blend from a handful of top sites in the valley (this cuvée is used as a testing zone for new single vineyards), the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is all Cabernet that spent 20 months in 70% new French oak. It has a bright, juicy bouquet of blueberry and cassis fruits intermixed with notions of graphite, crushed violets, tobacco, and gravelly earth. Medium to full-bodied, fresh, and elegant, it's a beautiful, elegant wine from this estate.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon contains some fruit from the Gill and Stelzner vineyards. Very deep purple-black in color, it gives up pronounced cassis, black cherries and blackberry compote notes with touches of pencil shavings, cigar box, tar and damp soil. Medium-bodied, finely crafted, refreshing and elegant in the mouth, it has soft tannins and seamless freshness, finishing earthy. 275 cases produced.
