Tasting notes
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Fallen Feather sings of cassis, kirsch and wild blueberries with wafts of bay leaves, spearmint and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, firm and grainy textured, it fills the palate with juicy fruit and finishes long and earthy.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Fallen Feather emerges from one of the more gravelly plots on this striking estate above Lake Hennessey. Black cherry, plum, leather, grilled herbs, smoke, chocolate and menthol all flesh out in the glass. I would give the 2016 a few years in bottle to allow the tannins to soften, but there is a lot to look forward to. The 2016 is a positively stellar Cabernet from proprietor Rick Talmage and winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown.
This shows aromas of dried violets, cloves and vanilla, ahead of dark chocolate, blueberries and a hint of cinnamon. A complex and rich palate with ripe, supple tannins and a bright and deep, plum finish. Best from 2020.
