Score 96/100 · Drink 2020-2050, Robert Parker, Mar 2016
The 2013 Proprietary Red Cuvée Julia has a more opaque color than the Merlot or Cabernet Franc. It looks like pen ink and offers up a big, thick, juicy nose of charcoal, graphite, blackberry and cassis with thick, unctuously textured, full-bodied flavors, and a super-rich, long finish. One of the smallest cuvées at 203 cases, it is a stunner – and another great example of Knights Valley. Give it 4-5 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 25-30 years.
