Tasting notes
Beginning with aromas of spiced plum reduction, blackberry compote and black pepper, the 2018 Syrah Black Label Les Collines is spicy and juicy on the nose. Medium to full-bodied, the wine displays a balanced structure with firm tannins and a delightful, juicy nature that will be the perfect accouterment for barbecue and grilled steak. Almost 2,700 bottles were filled with this delightfully lush and savory Syrah. Give it a try.

From one of my favorite vineyards in Washington, the 2018 Syrah Les Collines Vineyard offers lots of bright blue fruits as well as classic Syrah cracked pepper and floral nuances. Nicely concentrated on the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, with good mid-palate depth and chewy tannins. Hopefully, the tannins will smooth out with 2-3 years of bottle age, and it should have a solid decade of longevity. The quality coming from winemaker Justin Wylie over the past 4 to 5 years certainly merits special attention. These are rich, full-bodied, concentrated wines that show plenty of oak yet wonderful purity of fruit as well.
