Tasting notes
A more firm, muscular, focused 2019, the 2019 Cabernet Franc Sleeping Lady Vineyard has classic notes of currants, dark chocolate, graphite, and chalky minerals, and it shows more red and blue fruits as well as floral hints with air. Full-bodied and concentrated, with ripe tannins, give it a few years and enjoy over the following 10-15. This release comes from a cooler site and spent 18 months in 80% new French oak. 95 cases.

The 2019 Cabernet Franc Sleeping Lady Vineyard shows all of the aromatic lift that is typical of both Franc and this highly regarded Yountville site. On the palate, the wine is a bit over strict, with firm tannins that need time to soften. It will be interesting to see where this goes over the coming years.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Cabernet Franc Sleeping Lady Vineyard delivers notes of wild blueberries, plum preserves and redcurrant jelly, with hints of potpourri, dusty soil and bay leaves, plus a touch of pencil lead. Big, concentrated and full-bodied, it has a firm frame of grainy tannins and loads of freshness, finishing long and fragrant.
