Musky, vibrant aromas of orange zest, lemon peel, minerals and smoke. Rich and thick but quite dry, with chewy flavors of lemon, flowers and minerals. Very elegantly styled for such a densely packed, structured chardonnay. Finishes quite full and long. A superb showing.

The steely, smoky, full-bodied 2002 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard is even better than the 2001. Its zesty acidity is accompanied by notes of white peaches, tropical fruits, and hints of cold steel. This structured, pure, long, full-bodied Chardonnay should drink well for 4-5 years. (Release date Spring 04) Tel. (707) 963-3132; Fax (707) 963-9713
