Tasting notes
There are 700 cases of the 2017 Sauvignon Blanc, a beautiful Sauvignon Blanc from Napa Valley. Barrel-fermented and aged 10 months, its light gold color is followed by a beautiful bouquet of white grapefruit, crushed mint, and hints of minerality. It's medium-bodied, fresh and clean, with terrific length and purity.

The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc is quite dense and phenolic in feel, much of that coming from lees stirring during aging in barrel (30% new). Varietal flavors are nicely amped up in this large, broad Sauvignon Blanc. Sauvignon is planted at the back of the estate, just as the land starts to slope upwards, in one of the cooler sections of the property. This is one of the more distinctive Napa Valley Sauvignons readers will come across. A touch of Sémillon adds nuance.
