Tasting notes
NHB. Dark crimson. Minty notes plus pomegranate. Round and satisfying without being too cloying. Attractive now. (JR)

Deep, dark red. Redcurrant, loam and chocolatey oak on the nose. Smooth and sweet in the mouth, with pliant flavors of redcurrant, plum and mint along with mocha and coffee oak tones. Broad tannins dust the palate and front teeth on the oaky back end.
This is a mixed set of wines from Elyse Winery, but the best bottles are well worth considering. The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Morisoli Vineyard is a beautiful, if somewhat inward wine graced with exquisite finesse. Freshly cut flowers, mint, blackberries and cassis are some of the nuances that emerge from this delineated, finessed Cabernet Sauvignon. Today the wine is a bit tight, but it should soften with another year or so in bottle.
