Tasting notes
(includes 12% cabernet franc and 2% merlot) Dee p ruby-red. Blackcurrant, black cherry, tobacco, menthol and sexy oak tones on the nose. Sweet, full, lush and seamless, with mellow suggestions of chocolate and tobacco. The most complex and complete of these three 2002 cabernets, very Oakville in style. Finishes rich and quite dry, with broad tannins and excellent length.

Powerful, chocolatey, and heady is the 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville (a 3,400-case blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Merlot with 14.5% alcohol). Jammy black currant, licorice, tobacco leaf, lavender, and chocolate characteristics are accompanied by an opulent, glycerin-imbued Cabernet. Enjoy this beauty now and over the next 15 years. Tel. Saturated ruby-red. Superripe yet cool aromas of cassis, blueberry, blackberry and espresso. Very ripe, dense and sweet, with dark berry and bitter chocolate flavors. Distinctly blacker and more muscular in character than the foregoing 2002 samples, finishing with serious tannic structure.
