The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon The Lure is made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Atlas Peak and Howell Mountain, aged 21 months in 50% new French oak. Deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps from the glass with candied violets, Ceylon tea and eucalyptus over a crème de cassis, plum preserves and blueberry pie core with wafts of cedar chest and mocha. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, the palate delivers firm, rugged tannins and seamless freshness with layer up layer of black and blue fruit preserves, finishing long with a spicy lift coming through.
