Tasting notes
Aged 22 months in 39% new French oak, the medium ruby colored 2017 Pinot Noir 4 Barrel gives up pure aromas of pomegranate, raspberries and strawberries with notes of citrus peel, bitters, bark, tea leaves and spices. Medium-bodied and silky, it offers restrained, nuanced flavor layers with a grainy frame and juicy freshness, finishing long and bitters-laced. Give this the time in bottle it deserves! Only 95 cases were made.

A blend of four top barrels, as the name suggests, this has a complex, forest-wood edge, as well as brambly, red-cherry aromas. Red flowers, too. The palate has a very succulent, rich and complete feel with pronounced oak influence and a meaty, bold punch at the finish. A barrel each of Marshall Ranch, Bootleggerâs Hill, Freestone and Cerise Vineyards. Drink or hold.
