The tiny production (it’s their smallest release, 50 some odd cases) 2013 Pinot Noir Cohn Vineyard (this is Russian River) gives up lots of Bing cherry, mulled spices and a dried violet-like quality to go with medium to full-bodied richness on the palate. Ripe, sexy, voluptuous and textured, yet with solid tannic grip on the finish, this beauty was completely destemmed and aged 16 months in 57% new French oak. Drink it anytime over the coming 5-6 years. Kosta Browne's first ever single vineyard Pinot Noir was from this vineyard.

The 2013 Pinot Noir Cohn Vineyard is one of the more lifted, classically built wines in the range. Crushed flowers, tobacco, mint and sweet red cherries are all crisp and delineated. The Cohn is differentiated from most of the other wines in this range by its tension and overall sense of energy.
