It has a pretty, pure, full-bodied, balanced profile as well as beautiful aromatics of ripe plums, cassis, spice, and flowery incense. The tannins are perfectly ripe, and it has a great finish, with no hard edges. This fabulous To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon will evolve for another three decades.

A big, structured wine, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Grand Daddy is going to need a number of years to come into its own, as the tannins are forbidding. Iron, smoke, savory herb, tobacco and leather are backed up by beams of supporting structure. This backward, reticent Cabernet Sauvignon will require patience. (AG) 95+

Full-bodied, super intense and opulently fruited in the mouth, it delivers a powerful black fruit core with a firm yet plush frame and very long, multilayered finish.
