Tasting notes
Ruby/magenta, the 2022 Pinot Noir Joy Road Vineyard is bright on the nose, with red cherries, mint, wet stone, and a hint of peppercorn. Medium-bodied, it’s fresh and inviting on the palate, with fine tannins, a touch of fresh orange citrus, and a lovely finish. It has a linear feel, but it’s not lacking ripeness. Drink 2025-2037.

Three acres spread across eight blocks. Fermented separately. Bright ruby. Expressive sour cherries have a lovely fresh- and dried-fruit profile. Tannins are chalky, fine-grained, and nicely integrated into the savoury dark-fruit core, reminding me of Nuit-St-Georges. However, the perfume and lift has a Morey-St-Denis flair. A burgundian touch that I really appreciate. (FG)
