Tasting notes
Violets, blueberries and fresh leaves abound on the nose of this multidimensional blend of 79% cabernet sauvignon, 12% merlot, 6% malbec, 2% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot, sourced from 66% Napa Valley and 34% Sonoma County grapes. The palate has a very rich, soft and ripe core of chocolate-laced blackberries and blood plums. Full-bodied, but soft. Drink or hold.

Checking in as a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 6% Malbec, 2% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot, both from Napa and Sonoma, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Unity is another value-priced release from the Fisher Vineyards team. It has plenty of currant fruit as well as notes of spice box, cedar, and earth aromas and flavors. Rich, medium to full-bodied and nicely concentrated, it has some aggressive tannins that are going to outlive the fruit, so drink this with food over the coming 4-6 years.
