The 2019 Chardonnay Silver Eagle Vineyard is herbal, with fresh spearmint, a touch of flinty reduction, lime candy, and sea spray. The palate is juicy and ripe with sweet orchard fruit of candied peach, followed by freshness on the back with orange blossom. Drink over the next ten years.
The 2019 Chardonnay Silver Eagle Vineyard is fabulous. Rich, heady and effusive, but with no excess weight, the Silver Eagle positively dazzles. Orange peel, crème brûlée, sweet oak, spice and butter are all beautifully balanced by bright floral and mineral accents that add freshness. The precision here is just unreal. What a gorgeous wine this is.
