Tasting notes
An exceptional appellation wine that over-delivers, the 2022 Zinfandel Sonoma County is sourced from several vineyards, with the average vine age around 110 years old. On the nose, it offers inviting aromas of cherry liqueur, wild forest herbs, pressed flowers, and dark stones. Medium-bodied, it’s ripe and approachable on the palate, with a mouthwatering feel and a clean, stony texture, and great underlying structure. While it’s delicious out of the gate, this has the bones to age with ease and is going to hold on at least another 8-10 years if stored well. It’s a steal for the price.

The 2022 Zinfandel (Sonoma County) is a very pleasant, easygoing wine. Crushed red berry fruit, dried flowers, cinnamon and kirsch are all nicely lifted. This soft, open-knit Zinfandel looks like a near- to medium-term proposition.
