Tasting notes
Mostly Zinfandel yet with 26% Carignan and 2% Petite Sirah, the 2020 Mazzoni Home Ranch has a more inward style in its darker plum, chocolate, leather, and roasted herb aromatics, and it's medium-bodied, firm, and foursquare on the palate, with good mid-palate density and grainy tannins. It should keep for a decade.

The 2020 Mazzoni Home Ranch is soft, open-knit and quite tasty. I would prefer to drink it over the next few years, as the fruit is starting to fade. Hints of pipe tobacco, cedar and worn-in leather add nuance. The 2020 is a bit burly but nicely done for the year.
