Tasting notes
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District is another perfumed, complex, incredibly pure wine from Hall Winery. All varietal and loaded with red and blue fruits as well as notes of white flowers, violets, and spicy wood, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a layered, opulent mouthfeel, and fine yet present tannins. It shows the complex, perfumed style of the appellation nicely while still bringing ample richness and power. It will keep for 20-25 years.

Sourced from the Schweizer (75%) and Bench (25%) vineyards, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District features notes of mint, thyme, cherries and red raspberries. While it's full-bodied, it's also silky, marked by fine-grained tannins, and comes across as appreciably more elegant than the mountain wines, with a long, mouthwatering finish.
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District is another wine that shows Megan Gundarsson's lighter hand in blending. Bright, floral and nicely layered, the 2019 is super-classy from start to finish. It's an embryonic wine I am looking forward to tasting again once it has been bottled.
