Score 16/20 · Drink 2015-2022, Jancis Robinson MW, Jan 2015
Strawberry blossom mixed through with a rocky character and savoury-saline accents. Persistent tannin, moderate but stimulating acidity, with a lingering finish. (ECB)

Made from Dijon clones 777, 828, 114, 115 and selections from Pommard, Calera and Swan, the 2012 Pinot Noir Sea View Ridge has a deceptively light ruby, frail-looking color that could pass for a darker rosé. Notes of plums, cherries, pomegranates and earth are offered in a medium-bodied, light, finesse style. One wishes there were more stuffing and material in this wine. What’s there is nice, just somewhat diluted and shallow. Drink now.
