Score 92/100 · Drink 2018-2027, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Apr 2018
The 2015 Pinot Noir The South Slope Vineyard is a powerful, earthy wine. Leather, smoke, tobacco, spice and scorched earth complement the dark-fleshed fruit nicely. Today, the South Slope is more about intensity than sensuality. It is one of the more reticent of the 2015s in this tasting.

The 2015 Pinot Noir The South Slope Vineyard is one of the darkest and most powerful of these wines. Black cherry, plum, licorice and tobacco give the 2015 its decidedly dark, game, brooding feel. The richness of the vintage is very much in evidence. I find the South Slope a bit heavy, but still quite good.
