Tasting notes
(51% petit verdot and 49% cabernet sauvignon): Good dark red. Musky aromas of currant, plum, lavender, black olive and bitter chocolate. Good tangy flavors of sour cherry, currant, peppery herbs, spices and chocolatey oak. Doesn't offer quite the body of the 2012 version but there's plenty of flavor interest here. Finishes with licorice and spice notes and good lift.

(a 51/49 blend of petit verdot and cabernet franc): Good bright medium red. Blackberry, blueberry, tree bark and leather on the nose, accented by peppery, spicy herbs and licorice. Blackberry, black cherry and underbrush flavors offer a pliant texture and enticing inner-mouth perfume. Finishes with firm tannic grip and very good peppery lift. Very expressive already.
