The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard is redolent of black fruit, gravel, incense, sage and menthol. Powerful and deep, with tons of supporting structure, it's a classic wine from this well-known Atlas Peak vineyard. I expect the 2021 will always be a powerhouse, but it is quite attractive today. A long, resonant finish rounds things out in style.

Another fine effort from Alpha Omega, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard is one of only two wines I tasted from AO to have reached 15% alcohol. This dark-fruited wine is therefore relatively full-bodied, but the acids are pronounced, giving the wine a firm, structured feel and ample length, with a fine dusting of ripe tannins.
