Tasting notes
Medium ruby, the 2016 Pinot Noir Sierra Mar Vineyard offers ripe raspberries, cranberries and rhubarb with notions of underbrush, potpourri, charcuterie and bitters hints. The medium-bodied palate is intense and broody with a grainy frame and just enough freshness on the long finish.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Sierra Mar Vineyard is one of the more open, sexy wines in the lineup, yet it still has a classic elegance about it. Ripe cherries rose petals, ground herbs, and sous bois notes all flow to a medium-bodied, balanced, layered Pinot Noir that shows how good the Santa Lucia Highlands can be.
Vivid ruby. Aromas of black raspberry, cherry cola, candied licorice and mocha pick up a suave floral element with air. Sweet and broad on the palate, offering juicy red berry and floral pastille flavors that are sweetened by a building vanilla note. The cola note comes back steadily on an extremely long, penetrating finish framed by smooth, harmonious tannins.
