Tasting notes
Deep, vivid red. Assertively perfumed aromas of raspberry liqueur, vanilla, exotic spices and potpourri are complemented by hints of smoky minerals and lavender. Energetic and appealingly sweet, displaying superb depth in its sappy, mineral-accented red and dark berry, spicecake and floral pastille flavors, which show no rough edges. Polished tannins appear slowly and blend smoothly with the wine's intense fruit on an impressively persistent, penetrating finish. 67% new French oak.

Lastly, the 2019 Pinot Noir Sierra Mar Vineyard has lots of black tea, dried herbs, and underbrush notes as well as a big core of darker fruits (blackberries, darker cherries), medium to full body, a round, expansive texture, integrated oak, and a savory, spicy finish. It's another brilliant Pinot Noir that will drink well for 7-8 years or more.
