90% barrel fermented, 8 months in oak, 8% MLF. Fresh fruit, creamy texture, full body. Bold but balanced, with a sort of floral note that gives an extra dimension. Some biscuit character too. Good vibrancy. (RH)

The 2011 Chardonnay Napa is a citrusy Chablis-like effort displaying lots of freshness, lemon and tangerine oil notes, medium body and no evidence of oak. Drink it over the next several years. Tel. (800) 588-0298

Lively and green fruited. Not alcoholic at all! Bit neutral. (JR)
