Tasting notes
The 2013 Zinfandel Lolita Ranch (16.3%) is made from the Jackass Hill clone of Zinfandel, replanted in this vineyard in Russian River. Loads of charcuterie, pepper, smoked meats and briary blackberry and cherry fruit soar from the glass of this full-bodied, unctuously textured, thick and juicy Zinfandel to drink over the next decade.

The 2013 Zinfandel Lolita Ranch is the most floral and feminine of the Martinelli Zinfandels. Sweet tobacco, mint, pine, spices, anise and sweet red stone fruits are all laced together in a pretty, nuanced wine with tons of near and medium-term appeal.
About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
