Tasting notes
Coming all from the estate Slide Hill Vineyard and a one-acre parcel of Albariño planted in 2005, the 2022 Albariño has a medium gold hue to go with rich, opulent notes of honeyed mandarin orange, brioche, toasted spice, grilled peach, and other exotic nuances. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, richly textured, broad, serious white that has good acidity, plenty of density and depth, and a great finish.

The inaugural release of this variety from the new estate vineyard Slide Hill, the 2022 Albariño was aged 19 months in neutral barriques. The nose opens with lifted, floral aromas framed by a perfumed, intense richness and underlying nectarine and tangerine zest. The palate wonderfully combines plush power with electric, juicy, thirst-quenching energy, leading to a honeyed yet vibrant and focused finish. This was an impressive showing, especially for a first release, and should drink beautifully for the next 5–7 years.
