Jensen makes a great white, and his 2016 White is one of the best, checking in just behind the sensational 2017. A blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier (there’s also a splash of Chardonnay), it offers tons of honeyed orchard fruits, white flowers, pineapple, and brioche notes in a powerful, rich, full-bodied, stacked package. It’s smoking good. Eric Jensen’s Booker Vineyards continues to make a ripe, sexy, pedal-to-the-metal syle of wine and these latest 2016s don’t disappoint.

A blend mainly of Roussanne and Viognier, the 2016 White has an alluringly savory nose of lightly browned toast, salted almonds and fresh hay over a core of ripe apricots, poached pears and white pepper. The full-bodied palate has a lovely phenolic grip and seductive oiliness to the texture, with tons of savory-laced stone fruit flavors and great length.
