Tasting notes
A blend of 57% Sémillon and 43% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2016 Cuvee Karatas has lovely white peaches, lemon curd and bay leaves notes with hints of honeysuckle, beeswax and cedar. The palate is medium to full-bodied, rich and packed with citrus and stone fruit layers, finishing long and savory.

The 2016 Cuvée Karatas, Bedrock's Sémillon/Sauvignon Musque, is powerful, dense and quite structured in its feel. Dried pear, chamomile and a host of savory notes are pushed forward in this decidedly rich, deep white. Unfortunately, 2016 is the last vintage of this wine, at least for the time being. Bedrock is no longer able to purchase Sémillon from Monte Rosso, which is a real shame, as these are believed to be the oldest Sémillon vines in the United States.
