Tasting notes
Slightly deeper colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet) offers more blackcurrants, graphite, violets, and damp earth, with a medium to full-bodied, beautifully textured, seamless style on the palate. I love its balance, its silky tannins, and outstanding purity of fruit. As with the 2015, it will drink nicely for 10-15 years.

Ackerman's 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is a brooding wine. Iron, smoke, red cherry jam and menthol, along with the wine's potent tannins, convey an impression of power. Today, the 2016 is a bit compact. It will be interesting to see if time in bottle helps the wine flesh out a bit further from its current state. This intense Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon appears to have a good bit of potential.
Composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep purple-black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon has a nose of crushed blackberries, black cherries and warm plum with touches of cedar, fragrant soil, camphor and baker's chocolate. Medium to full-bodied and laden with crunchy black fruits, it has firm frame of grainy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing with baking spice suggestions coming through.
