Tasting notes
The 2018 Pinot Noir Day One marries richness, power and aromatic presence. Succulent black cherry, plum, chocolate, new leather, licorice and dried herbs mesh together in the glass, supported by bright acids that add energy. Like all of these wines, the Day One is racy and fleshy in style.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Day One is a bit youthfully closed, offering tar, blackberries, dried flowers and earth with touches of laurel on the nose. Medium-bodied, it's grainy and ultra juicy, with spicy fruits and an uplifted finish. Give it another year or two in bottle. 285 cases produced.
From the Hillcrest Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast, the 2018 Pinot Noir Day One is another darker, earthy, spicy effort from this team. Aged 10 months in 25-40% new French oak, it offers lots of mulled red and black fruits, smoked herbs, Asian spices, and dried flowers. Rich and medium-bodied, with bright acidity and ripe tannins, it's another age-worthy 2018 Pinot Noir from this estate that shows the quality of this great vintage.
