Tasting notes
The 1997 Geyserville Proprietary Red Wine (74% Zinfandel, 15% Carignan, 10% Petite Sirah, and 1% Mourvedre, with 14.9% alcohol) offers explosive aromas of jammy berry fruit, and flavors redolent with notes of plums, cherries, raspberries, and smoky wood. Open-knit and expansive, with low acidity, this evolved, forward, hedonistic wine will drink well for 4-5 years. Tel. (408) 867-3233

Bright ruby-red. Classic zin aromas of blackberry, blueberry, violet and cracked black pepper, with enticing oak spice. Powerful and sweet but smooth in the mouth. The texture borders on thick, but there enough acidity to frame the intense dark berry flavors. Ripely tannic and very long on the aftertaste.
