Tasting notes
Pott's 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Incubo, from his estate vineyard on Mt. Veeder, is powerful and bold from the outset. Huge mountain tannins give the Incubo much of its feel. Quite distinctive in profile, the 2016 is also very shut down and nowhere near ready to show all it's got. And even so, it is super-expressive, not to mention incredibly promising.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Incubo (100% Cabernet) is very deep purple-black in color and bursts forth with exuberant crème de cassis, blueberry pie and Black Forest cake scents with touches of bay leaves, violets, aniseed and unsmoked cigars. Full-bodied, firmly textured and laden with black berry preserves and savory layers, it has a beautiful grainy texture and great length. 57 cases produced, to be released in February 2019.
