The estate's Southern Rhone-inspired cuvee, the 2013 The Ditch Digger Denner Vineyard is 50% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 15% Syrah, 10% Counoise and 5% Cinsault the was brought up in 60% old barrels and 40% in cement tanks. Ripe, voluptuous, full-bodied and low in acidity, it offers terrific notes of raspberry, blackberries, herbes de Provence, pepper and garrigue. Downright sexy and already hard to resist, drink this beauty anytime over the coming 7-8 years.
Energy, tension and firm tannins are the signatures of the 2013 Ditch Digger. An impeccably balanced, bright red, the Ditch Digger is incredibly vivid and expressive today. The 2013 is 50% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah and the rest equal parts Cinsault and Counoise.
