Tasting notes
Saturated ruby-red. A highly fragrant bouquet evokes ripe red fruits, potpourri and mocha, and baking spice and mineral nuances emerge as the wine opens up. Sappy and seamless on the palate, offering juicy, spice-laced raspberry, boysenberry and floral pastille flavors accented by cola and licorice flourishes. Rich but lively as well, showing solid finishing thrust, repeating florality and gently chewy tannins on the persistent finish.

Medium ruby, the 2017 Pinot Noir Renegade Ridge Vineyard is scented of rhubarb, roasted cranberry, cola, undergrowth and Earl Grey tea plus notions of dried flowers and wild blackberry. The palate is light to medium-bodied with concentrated fruits, a very soft frame, juicy acidity and a long, earth-tinged finish. 398 cases were made.
A swathe of spices and dried herbs make for such interesting complexity, amid bright, red cherries and boysenberries. The palate has a very fine-grained feel with a layer of ebulliently fleshy and vibrant red cherries. Drink or hold.
